2026 has been an incredible year for Things of Stone and Wood. First, they released their first album in 23 years (the innovative bedroom folk Rae Street) Then, they watched in disbelief as it achieved their highest chart position since 1995. Then, they embarked on a national tour with the original duo and again, watched with even more disbelief as the red "sold out" banners appeared all over the country. With another album slated for release in late October, it's quite the time for "Melbourne's most inspired and inspiring folk-rock band" (Michael Dwyer). So in the spirit of their big vibe 2026 they're keeping the whole show rolling into 2027, only this time around there'll be a few surprises! For a couple of special shows in February, Thing of Stone and Wood (Greg Arnold - Solo) will be joined by his ol' buddies The Suburban. They are folk-rockin' kindred spirits which has led to a few collabs before, including helping tour Greg's last solo album as The Suburban (Daydreamers) - the Australian take on the European supergroup! ... and Greg is producing the Suburban's debut album as well! The shows promise plenty of classic TOSAW emotion and all of the ol' (and new) TOSAW hits, a cracking support slot by The Suburban and an all in rollick-fest at the end!
